Elza is as unique as her name. Her disarming combination of strength and vulnerability can be contributed to her unusual childhood and life experiences. She grew up between her father in Frankfurt, Germany and her mother in Charleston, SC. Elza’s father, a German abstract mathematician and musician, insisted she learn to read music before learning to read words, and with that her love of music was born.
This year, Elza completed an extensive college campus tour, shot a TV Pilot with Andi Vargas of Santana and recorded her latest CD “Gettin’ Free.” Elza’s songs have been featured in several independent films such as Single and on hit TV shows, such as Smallville. Elza provides music for TV & Film through her company Lucas Artist Music. Elza has shared the stage with Grammy Award Winner, Charlie Colin (Train), Bob Weir (The Grateful Dead), Martin Sexton, Catie Curtis and Jessica Simpson to name a few. UPN 9 NY says, “She’s the real deal!” Elza is one of those special artists that touches you with the first note and holds you spellbound until the last.
